Wedding in Fairbault, MinnesotaCassie & JasonSimple, Relaxed, Quirky

We got a glimpse of how much fun Jason and Cassie are at their engagement session, and they told us that they wanted their wedding day to be fun and relaxed as well. We were blown away by how spot-on they achieved that.

Jason and Cassie held their wedding at their friends’ home in Morristown, Minnesota; the ceremony was held in the backyard, and the reception under a tent in the front, leaving the remaining 40 or so acres for us to explore and play in. They chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so when Cassie finally walked out the back door, their anticipation was replaced with joy and excitement.

The backyard ceremony was simple, authentic, and full of their love for one another; the reception was a showcase of the new couple’s love for each other and for a good time. From the sweet first dances to the raucous dance party that lasted well into the evening, the party that they threw oozed real joy and fun. It’s rare that so much emotion and personality make their way into such a party, but it was clear that these two had made an intentional effort to give their guests a real experience.

We took a couple breaks from their party for portraits, and the owners were gracious enough to let us move their vintage couch out to the middle of the road. We had a great time with that, and we think the photos speak volumes; take a look!
