Rick and Colette tied the knot in the midst of a hot Minnesota June at the beautiful Camrose Hill. After a morning of hanging out with their best friends, the two were excited to see one another. We love first looks and the sense calm they often bring to a wedding. Once together, we walked the grounds of Camrose Hill, a flower farm and venue, and let them soak in the excitement of the journey they were about to begin.
With flowers above and around them, Colette and Rick said their vows, exchanged rings and worshipped the God who brought them together. Colette had never seen Rick cry until the worship songs during their ceremony! Usually there are a few guest tears during a wedding ceremony, but man, there was not a dry eye in the house for this one.
All day, both the bride and groom asked if there was anything they could do for anyone. Despite everyone assuring them all needs were taken care of, Rick and Colette’s heart for others shone brightly. The couple’s care for others didn’t stop at their guests or bridal party. They bought their rings from Do Amore, a jewelry company that puts a portion of all proceeds toward building wells for communities in need all around the world. The fair trade, ethical purchases didn’t stop there. Colette bought her stunning bridal gown from Bride to Be Consignment, wore her mother’s wedding veil and thrifted a majority of their decorations.
Thanks to the magic of Camrose Hill’s floral artistry, Essen Event’s planning and coordination, and the couple’s beautiful vision, it all came together to be a breathtaking event. We feel so honored to work with such an amazing vendor team and a wonderful couple!
