Colorful Autumn Wisconsin Wedding

Gretchen and and Andrew tied the knot on the ideal Autumn Midwestern day. This wedding is a special one to us: Gretchen is Matt’s sister and one of Anna’s good friends. She is the one who introduced to two of us! Earlier in the year, we got the special opportunity to fly to Oregon, shoot their engagement session and spend some time with them to get to know our future brother-in-law better.

They chose Govin’s in Menomonie, WI as their venue and it was a great spot. It was chilly  October day and the barn perfectly sheltered everyone from the wind. Even cold weather couldn’t keep Andrew and Gretchen from enjoying their big day. When planning their wedding , they told us how they hoped the fall colors would show up on their day. To their great joy, the trees were at peak color at a local park. We used those leaves to their greatest potential!

Each part of the wedding was centered on their faith, service to others and the deep love for each other. Andrew and Gretchen talked to almost every single person who attended (quite a feat!) and served an awesome meal of breakfast for dinner. The night ended with a busy dance floor and the happiest couple rushing out of the reception through a glow stick waving tunnel of friends and family.
