Dogs. Brunch. Madeline Island. What is there NOT to like about this wedding?
Tucker and Rachel first fell in love in high school, stuck out being apart for college and married shortly after adopting a little yellow lab puppy and taking in Tucker’s childhood lab too. CMadeline Island has been the location for many of their vacations, so it seemed like an obvious choice for a wedding venue. The wedding was delightfully laid back. The couple did the hard work of planning every detail beforehand so they got to truly embrace their day when it came. They booked out the entire Lightkeepers Lodge for family and guests, so everyone woke up in the right spot, another stress reducer.
For their first look, Tucker stood out on the end of a dock and Rachel walked out to meet him. It was a scene beautiful in many ways: that realization that today was their wedding day with just the lake and sky behind them.
The weather report threatened rain, but the skies cleared for all of their portraiture and through the entire ceremony. It was a tearjerker the whole way through as the two promised each other their forevers. After the ceremony, the guests gathered for brunch followed by the sweetest first dances we’ve ever seen.
Just as the first dances drew to a close, it started to gently rain, but it didn’t stop a single person from celebrating this perfect day.
